Karthika Banda (born 17 August 1977) is an Indian politician and the present Mayor of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. She became first woman mayor of the city of Hyderabad.[1] She is a first time corporator of Congress party from Tarnaka division.

Born in Hyderabad (Alwal), India to Mamidi Baagi Reddy. She is a post graduate in sociology from Osmania University and a sportswoman. She has two sons Kanishq and Showmik.[2]
She became the mayor of Hyderabad in December 2009, becoming the first woman mayor from Hyderabad.[3]
On March 13, 2010, she attended a meeting of the Hindu right wing Vishwa Hindu Parishad's women's wing where VHP General Secretary, Pravin Togadia was also present. she praised the VHP as a 'disciplined organization.'
Karthika Reddy is married to Banda Chandra Reddy, also a congress party member. They have two sons, Kanishq and Shoumik.
